Video in the content marketing world can be a powerful tool, it allows you to create content that engages, informs and keeps views interested long enough for marketers to get their call-to actions and brand messages across to the consumer. In a world were consumers are constantly bombarded with information in the form of advertisements creating content that has this ability to break through this information overload is challenging and an ever evolving process. Video however has been proven to be some of the best form of content in reaching and resonating with consumers. When deciding on video content marketers can either choose from live action video or animated video. Each format is better suited for different initiatives, however if you decide on animated video, here are 3 tips to keep in mind.

Use Creativity to Your Advantage

Animated video immediately gives you an advantage that live action video doesn’t, the ability to create whatever your imagination can think of. This can be especially helpful when you are making a video that is of a complex idea or concept because often times it can be hard to explain and show abstract concepts through live video.  Animation is also not just for kids; Adults too enjoy an animated video that is well thought out and creative.  Your video has the ability to embrace your brand or businesses personality and present it in a creative and thoughtful way.Image result for use your creativity

Simple and Clear Messages

Yes with an animated video, sky’s the limit when it comes to creativity and your ability to tell your story in a compelling and engaging way. With that being said though it is still important to keep the main message that you are trying to get across clear and simple. Animated videos sometimes can get carried away with the animation that the main message gets lost and is unclear to the viewer.  When creating your video you should constantly be asking your self, what do I want to say? What do I want my video to achieve and whom do I want to say it to? Your message needs to be defined to the point and clearly explained.Image result for simple clear message

 Know Your Audience

The first thing that should be considered like any and all marketing plans is who your target audience is. Who is going to be watching this video and what is going to connect and resonate with them the most. If your audience is going to be kids then you can make your animation more fun and parents then maybe a animated video is the right direction because it can bring fun and kid friendly. If your video is for adults or B2B then you want to make sure your animation doesn’t come across as corny and it may follow a more educational format. Animated video in general is known to be more effective when it comes to educational and informative story telling.
