  1. Find the right concept

It’s very important to have a well-thought out concept for your video. Don’t just settle for the first, most obvious thing that comes to mind. The more ideas, the better. By aiming to have more ideas, you force your team to look more deeply into each one from unexpected angles.

  1. Write an interesting script

The quality of your script is essential to its success. Although its important to keep your script professional, you must also remember that at the end of the day, your script should balance the emotional response of the audience, avoid empty buzzwords, and make every sentence count.

  1. Use a visual wireframe for pre-visualization

Using a visual wireframe will help you lock in the style that you’re looking for and also help during script writing to adjust the flow of the script. This will also get you organized and can be used to improve the shot list and make planning the production process easier later on.

  1. Scout the location

Have your team scout the location and lock in where each scene will be shot in advance. By collecting all this information early on, you will have a much easier time creating a shot list that will guide your workflow.

  1. Keep it speedy

If you want to save money and be as productive as possible, strive to shoot all your footage in one or two days. By reducing the amount of time it takes to collect your footage, you will have a reduced production fee and accelerate the pace that your video is created.
